TAST-Trademark Application Assistant
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this paper, we introduce a novel Trademark Application Assistant (TAST) that aims to speed up the process of a successful trademark application. The core of TAST is a web-browser based integrated image content editing and similarity-based retrieval system accessing local and remote databases of coded trademark images. Potential users of TAST include the party that initiates a request for trademark application, the trademark designer, and the government agency that administers trademark registration. At the time of writing, systems with similar capabilities are non-existent in the industry. This research is one among a number of multimedia projects carried out in the Center for Tsukuba Advanced Research Alliance at the University of Tsukuba that aims to produce real-world systems through cooperation among the university, the government, and the industry.

BACKGROUND Millions of children worldwide are exposed to acute potentially traumatic events (PTEs) annually. Many children and their families experience significant emotional distress and/or functional impairment following PTEs. While current research has begun to highlight a role for early appraisals and coping in promoting or preventing full recovery from PTEs, the exact nature of the relatio...
متن کاملBlock Layering Approach in TAST Codes
Threaded Algebraic Space Time (TAST) codes developed by Gamal et al. is a powerful class of space time codes in which different layers are combined and separated by appropriate Diophantine number . In this paper we introduce a technique of block layering in TAST codes, in which a series of layers (we call it Block layers) has more than one transmit antenna at the same time instant. As a result...
متن کاملAlgebraic space-time codes with full diversity and low peak-to-mean power ratio
A new class of full diversity space-time codes is proposed that leads to a significantly smaller Peak-to-Mean Envelope Power Ratio (PMEPR) compared to the recently invented Diagonal Algebraic SpaceTime (DAST) and Threaded Algebraic Space-Time (TAST) codes. Moreover, the proposed “Low PMEPR Space-Time” (LPST) codes exhibit identical performance and decoding complexity compared to the TAST codes....
